Clothing means to cover the body. People do not like book without its cover but why not? Clothing are sign of another's first impression.
By seeing clothing of any person we can tell that from where he comes. Their appearance tells a person's true self and aspirations. A man wearing torn pant, teared shirt, and old shoes might be thought of as poor However; a young man in a graceful dress appears that he belongs to a rich family. Chaucer uses clothing as an insight into people's ongoing adventure called life in "Cantabary tales".
Clothes for special purpose are made to meet the individual needs of each person. All over the world, people of different countries wear different types of clothing. In India, men &women of all states uses different clothing. For eg.In Punjab, Main dress of women is salwar & suits and men wears torn on the head whereas in Haryana, People appear in a different look. By seeing clothing sense of any person we imagine that from where he belongs.
In earlier times, people uses leaves and scrapes of trees to protect themselves from heat, cold, rain and from wild animals. As the times gone, men has start to make various types of clothing like jute cloths,fibre cloths ,silk cloths, cotton cloths etc.Now In this 21st centurey,there are coming so wide Varity of cloths that it is very difficult to selection of dress for many occasions. It is worn for safety, comfort and to reflect religious, cultural and social means.
Human beings are the only creatures known to cover their body properly although some people put clothing on their pets.
Men decorate their bodies with makeup, scented perfume, and other ornamentation; they arrange the hair of their heads, faces, and bodies and sometimes also mark their skin by tattoos. These decorations contribute to the overall effect and personality of clothing, but do not constitute clothing.
The main purpose of clothing is to protect the human body from dangers in the environment: weather (strong sunlight, extreme heat or cold, and precipitation, for example), insects, chemicals, weapons, and with abrasive substances, and hazards. Thus, Clothing can protect against many things that might injure the naked human body.
Common clothing materials included is viscose cotton, flax, wool, hemp, ramie, silk, lyocell, or synthetic fibers such as Polyester and Nylon among many others.
Versatility of cloths
The versatility of cloths depends upon the maintenance of the cloths. Different kinds of cloths require different types of caring like washing, drying, ironing etc.
Clothing is designed to be ironed before they are worn to remove wrinkles. The modern formal and semi-formal clothing is in this category like shirts, suits, pants, cotton cloths. I clothes that are ironed properly are believed to look clean, fresh, and neat.
Clothes that have been laundered and properly ironed, they are usually hung on clothes hangers or folded, to keep them fresh until they are worn. They are folded to allow them to be stored carefully, to prevent creasing, to preserve creases or to present them in a more pleasing manner. Duty for cloth does not end when a garment is bought. As long as it is worn, it must be kept clean and in good condition. It is easier to care for a garment when they know exactly what it is made of. It is very difficult o identify clothing materials. Some Cloths which are made of synthetic fibers look and feel very much like natural materials but require different care.
At last, I want to say that every one wear such clothing that which he/she suits. Dress designers make such modern dresses that our young generation demand for that and sometimes it seems that it is the wastage of money. Everyone wear cloths according to their needs & culture and personality.
